Attend a Meeting
Join us for a meeting. Meetings are held every month except December on the 2nd
Thursday at 7:00PM. Meetings are held in the lower meeting rooms at the Marriott
Walnut Creek - 2355 North Main Street (Marriott Walnut Creek Website) Guests are $20
which can be applied to your application if the application is received by the following
meeting.
Find a Sponsor
It’s a good idea to get to know some NCPP members. Find someone you feel
comfortable with who can become your sponsor . A sponsor will help to make sure you
know about all the educational activities available at NCPP, and help you become an
involved and active member. If you don't know anyone, Ann will introduce you to another
photographer that shares your enthusiasm and specialty.
Apply for Membership
There are two types of membership - Professional and Apprentice.
To apply for Professional status you must have your business license and resale
license. Apprentice is for those ramping up their business. Business license and
resale license are expected within one year of induction. If you are uncertain which
status you should apply for, or if you have more than one photographer applying, email
Ann Gordon at membership@ncpponline.org.
Focal Point Announcement
If your application is received before the 20th of the month, you will be listed in the
following month’s Focal Point (NCPP’s membership newsletter which you will receive).
** **Applications received after the 20th will move the next steps ahead one month.
Meeting Introduction
At the next monthly meeting you will be asked to stand up and introduce yourself. Give
your name, how many years in the business and specialty (portraits, weddings, etc.).
Induction
At the following monthly meeting, you will be inducted as a new member.
Congratulations!
